Artist Biography:

Brimming with an intoxicating melodicism, Georgia Fields’ vivid songcraft draws on influences as far-reaching as Greek mythology, lunar folklore and the succulent anatomy of citrus fruits, earning her a reputation as one of Melbourne's brightest indie-folk singer-songwriters. Her captivating live show is full of wit and wonder: “intelligent, seductive and touched by a vividly-blooming magic” (The Autumn Roses, USA). Of her collaboration with strings, Frankie Magazine declared: “The evocative songstress paints entire worlds with her tunes… the strings give a distinctly epic vibe.”

Georgia Fields has been performing, producing and releasing original music independently for over a decade. Her critically acclaimed 2016 album Astral Debris was awarded four stars by The Sydney Morning Herald, who proclaimed “Georgia Fields dreams in fantastic Technicolor”. As a string arranger, Georgia has worked behind the scenes for years, having composed orchestral accompaniment for many esteemed Australian artists, including triple j darling Olympia, ARIA-award winning vocalist Anthony Callea, and country-soul goddess Suzannah Espie. Georgia is currently working on her third studio album ‘Write it on the Sky’, due for release April 2020.

Fields has got one of those voices that just rings true. Once you’re hooked, you never get the feeling she is just making up this stuff – affairs of the heart, mainly – just for dramatic effect… Even as you sing along, charmed.
